Thank you for taking the time to find out about Short Order Hand Crafted! I started this business over ten years ago in my basement sewing children's shorts. I sold these to mostly friends and family, and never really went all-out to pump up the sales. At the time I began I had two small children, and an in-home childcare business. I was terribly busy! Since then things have slowed down a bit. My children are older now, and quite independent. My childcare business is going strong, however, and I am constantly using the portacribs I own. During my years as a childcare provider I have worn out many portacrib mattresses. While the cribs are still in good shape the mattresses are showing considerable wear. It is this reason that I have constructed my own mattress sheets/covers for my portacribs.
