Wooden portacribs are smaller than standard cribs; measuring 39”x 25” they do not use standard crib bedding. These cribs are made of wood, and have slats that are spaced 2” apart. The problem with these cribs is that the crib far outlives the approximately 2” thick foam mattress. These mattresses have vinyl covers which tear apart after repeated use, not to mention they do not breathe causing baby to wake up from nap sweaty and uncomfortable.

It covers the foam mattress similar to a pillow sham, enclosing the entire mattress. It's made of a cotton blend fabric that has been treated with Ultrex ®. You can wash it in the washing machine on the delicate cycle... let the excess water run off... tumble dry on a NO HEAT setting with a dry bath towel for about 20 minutes...Very Simple!
